The Sound of Forest Silence

I was completely mesmerized by this amazing musical creation! The ending is a bit disappointing, no they didn’t just create this for no particular reason, but it is awe inspiring nevertheless!

White waves

As I was waiting for my boss to get an injection at the hospital, I parked at the edge of Superior, overlooking the Lake. The moody waters were crashing violently further into the horizon. It felt vast, open, and serene. Just a few blocks down the medical district completely overwhelmed me with its towering hospital buildings.

I listened to this Pavarotti aria on my phone. “My last hour has flown, and I die, hopeless! And never have I loved life more.” Jeff Foster posted it on his page. The sound of Pavarotti’s voice broke my heart, just as seeing my beloved boss sick breaks my heart every time.

Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing and rightdoing,
there is a field. I’ll meet you there.

Trusting Life

Today I received an angry, accusatory letter from a friend. I touched a nerve of his pain, and he attacked me, intensely.

At first I was shocked.. I wanted to retaliate, the habitual self wanted to respond in-kind. But then a space appeared. The anger diluted with each breath.

I was writing another friend who is struggling with a different situation. And then it hit me.

Trusting Life. Allowing All of Life to flow. There is an intelligence of Life that is at work. “I” don’t need to understand it, only to allow it.

Here’s how Rumi said it:

This being human is a guest house.
Every morning a new arrival.

A joy, a depression, a meanness,
some momentary awareness comes
As an unexpected visitor.

Welcome and entertain them all!
Even if they’re a crowd of sorrows,
who violently sweep your house
empty of its furniture,
still treat each guest honorably.
He may be clearing you out
for some new delight.

The dark thought, the shame, the malice,
meet them at the door laughing,
and invite them in.

Be grateful for whoever comes,
because each has been sent
as a guide from beyond.

Falling in love with Life

Hello everyone,

Today is a beautiful day.
Inspiration is nudging me to start expressing again what bubbles in me.

It is an expression of Life itself. Not me, Rossi.

I am finally falling in.:) It feels awesome to fall!

Adyashanti’s teachings cut through the fog

Hello!

It’s been a long time since I posted here! Today I feel compelled to.

As a practice, I’ve been meditating on Adyashanti’s teachings. Two quotes I’d like to share with you are:

“The truth is that you already are what you are seeking.”

“Can you imagine if you really let it in that you are not a problem to be solved in any way? Imagine you knew that anything that would tell you otherwise is just a movement of thought in the mind that says “Whatever is, isn’t the way it is supposed to be.” So the biggest act of compassion starts within.”
